Both fobs are dead. Wouldn't be a problem but I can't disarm the alarm. Guess I'm heading to Riteaid to buy a 2 pack of batteries for $11 when I can get a 20 pack off Amazon for $7.

Keep in mind that with the Amazon option, you would be wasting 18 batteries. I think that’s something worth considering.

They'll be my backups/reserves for instances like this. The screened fob seems to eat batteries like candies.

if these are coin cells, get Duracell ones made in Japan; those are from Panasonic and are actually good. the shit you get on eBay or Amazon are Chinese crap which won’t last worth a shit.

Button cells are still 1.5v right? You could get a regular battery and some wire and touch contacts enough to disarm

I did just that with a 3v. Oddly the small remote uses 2 3v in series but the large one uses just one 3v
